Inserts a row of data into a table.

*tableinsertrow name string_array number_of_strings row_index

Description

Inserts a row of data into a table.

Inputs

name
The name of the table to update.
string_array
The ID of the string array that contains the row data to insert. The string array is created using the *createstringarray command. This should always be set to 1.
number_of_strings
Integer indicating the size (number of strings) in the string array created using *createstringarray. This must equal the number of columns in the table.
row_index
The index of the row to insert. Tables are indexed starting from 1 (1 to n rows).

Example

To insert a row of data at index 3 to “table1” which has 7 columns with data types (integer, string, double, elements, integer, double, properties):

*createstringarray 7 1 abc 4.567 500 10 3.14159 100
*tableinsertrow table1 1 7 3

Errors

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:
if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
