hm_getabsoluterotationvector entityType name_or_id searchType

Type

HyperMesh Tcl Query

Description

Returns a list {x y z} which describes the given entity’s absolute rotation. If HyperMesh is unable to locate the associated systems, the list will contain three empty members.

Inputs

entityType
The type of entity. Only components are currently supported.
name_or_id
The name or ID of the entity.
If the numeric name of any entity is identical to the ID of any other entity, allowing either may cause a problem. In the event of a conflict, HyperMesh will assume that the value is a name. Problems can be avoided by inserting a space or plus sign before an ID. For example: "+1" or "1" instead of 1.
searchType
By default, HyperMesh searches for entities by name, and if the name is not found, it then searches by ID. This option allows you to specify how the search for an entity should be conducted. The two options are:
-byname: search only by name
-byid: search only by ID

Errors

None.
