Altair Inspire Cast 2019.1 Release Notes
Altair Inspire Cast 2019.1 includes the following new features and enhancements.
New Features: User Interface
- Editable Material Database
- By using this new capability, you can edit and create your own material alloys by changing the material properties. Customized materials will be compatible with future versions.
- Filters
- This new capability allows the user to add ceramic or foam filters to the process to control the flow to avoid turbulences and filter the poured material. As with all the rest of the management of the components, you’ll need only one click to add a filter to your process.
- Liquid Level Control
- A new gravity-driven control for the casting process has been added. This new option allows the user to control the level of the liquid metal in the sprue by defining only a single point, to control the flow of the material inside the mold.
New Features: Process Setup
- New Meshing Approach
- The automatic mesher has been improved and is now able to solve all Boolean operations much more effectively and supports more complex geometries and contacts.
- Cycling Process
- Simulate a number of cycles to capture the working conditions of the die and radically increase the filling and thermal process accuracy when using cooling lines.
Enhancements
- Updated Mouse Controls
- You can now modify the mouse controls in the Preferences. The default mouse control for turntable rotation is now Shift + middle mouse drag.
