Dialogs

Dialogs are temporary, movable windows designed to enable two-way communication between you and the application.

Dialogs are used most often when you need to interact with elements in the dialog itself, such as checking options or typing values into fields. Standard dialogs differ from microdialogs in that they are generally larger, contain more options, and they contain buttons such as OK and Cancel.

The image below is a sample dialog box for Run Motion Analysis from Inspire.

Dialogs are most often used with modal tasks which require some amount of interaction with the dialog prior to closing them.
