Longitudinal Slip
The ratio between the contact patch longitudinal velocity and the wheel center longitudinal velocity.
Where
is the longitudinal velocity of the wheel.
The value of longitudinal slip is limited in between -1 to +1.
Lateral Slip
The angle between the lateral slip velocity of the contact patch and the longitudinal velocity vector of the rim.
