*equation()

Defines an equation load in HMASCII format.

Syntax

*equation (id,type,constant,independentnodexmax,dependentnode,dependentdof,collector)

Description

Defines an equation load.

The *equation(), *inodes(), *idofs() and *icoeffs() blocks must be in the following order:

*equation()

*inodes()

*idofs()

*icoeffs()

Inputs

id
The ID of the equation.
type
The solver dependent type code for the equation.
constant
The constant for the equation.
independentnodesmax
The number of independent nodes.
dependentnode
The dependent node ID.
dependentdof
The dependent node degree of freedom.
collector
The ID of the collector that owns the equation.

Example

To create an equation with ID 300, type 1, constant 2.5, independent nodes 5-7 with DOFs 1, 3 and 5 and coefficients of 0.5 for all DOFs, and dependent node 350 with DOF 3 and coefficient 2.0:
*equation(100,1,2.5,3,350,3,2.0,5)
