The Safety menu lists options for crash safety modeling such as airbags, seatbelt and dummy positioning. The menu has minor modifications depending on the solver that is loaded.
Airbags |
Create, edit and review airbags. |
Seat Mechanism |
Opens the Mechanism Browser to create and articulate a kinematic mechanism. |
Dummy Positioner |
Opens the Dummy Browser to position a dummy model. |
Export an input deck, for the appropriate solver, in order to simulate the deformation of the seat under the dummy. This tool is available in the Altair Radioss and LS-DYNA user profiles. |
|
Occupant |
Shortcut to the Dummy Positioning panel for dummy articulation and positioning. |
Sensor |
Opens the Create sensors dialog. |
Shortcut to the Seatbelt panel for routing seatbelts around the dummy. |
|
Retractor |
Create, edit and review retractors on nodes through the Mass panel with elem types set to RETRACTOR. |
Pretensioner |
Create, edit and review retractors on nodes through the Mass panel with elem types set to PRETENSION. (LS-DYNA only) |
Sliprings |
Create, edit and review sliprings on nodes through the Mass panel with elem types set to SLIPRING. (PAM-CRASH) |
Slip Ring |
Create, rename and renumber slip rings. (LS-DYNA) |
Opens a Process Manager tab. This tool generates a deck for the simulation of the head impact on an instrument panel. It is available in the Altair Radioss and LS-DYNA user profiles. |
|
Opens a Process Manager tab. This tool generates an input deck for the simulating pedestrian head and leg impacts on vehicle hoods, windshields, bumper and bonnets. The Pedestrian Impact tool is available in the Altair Radioss and LS-DYNA user profiles. |
